The Importance of Relaxation in Jiu Jitsu

Jiu Jitsu is kind of like half combat sport, half lifestyle in a lot of ways. It's got a lot in common with yoga or surfing. I would worry that if you tried to turn this into a very regimented, rigorous sport, that you might lose some of those people. We can improve Jiu Jitsu. We can make it better. But we need to be very careful as this goes on for not to become what we see in other sports.
