The Importance of Honoring People's Feelings
If you did see that evidence, if they were in fact happier, how would that overcome your epistemological test? Reality has the upper hand in that. Ultimately, you have to you have a primary commitment is either to people's feelings or to saying what's true. If truth is a struggle, then it can just easily be an armed struggle as a peaceful struggle,. And that's a bad direction for a society to go.
