The Problem of Plagiarism and the Use of AI Detectors in the Classroom

Many students are starting to understand the capabilities of AI assistants such as Chat, GPT, Bard, and Microsoft's Perplexity and are using them to cheat on their schoolwork. This has left teachers in a difficult position of having to teach in the current environment while also trying to keep up with the evolving technology and changing landscape. Matt and Holly discuss the difficulty of knowing how much cheating is being done without openly discussing AI in the classroom and the use of AI detectors to detect plagiarism.
