Is the Trade You're Making Versus What Is the Goal?
I would argue that the first principle is to impart understanding of topics. How you apply those topics to be productive is not actually the goal because if it was, then everything would be a trade and it's not. The point of learning stuff in school isn't to learn how to write cursive. It's like our mom's point like, why did we learn that in the first place? A lot of what we learn if we trace it back, it goes ultimately to Like what can let us thrive and like be economically viable or what can let me like pursue art or sort of understand the world,. I feel like fits into that.
