The Importance of Data in Decision Making
There's a distinction to be made between what happens before a hitter hits the ball and what happens after. The interesting thing is in baseball today that we can measure all of these process type things happen exactly how hard they're hit. We also know which angle the ball comes off the bat, but also horizontally which direction it goes. And so those results can lie and it happens all the time in sports. But for me was baseball and the examples I was think of in football are very different.
