The Importance of Perspective on the Church

I think that it's important, particularly for people who have not had a living and continual experience of the church in their childhoods and their adolescence to attempt to gain some right perspective on it. I'm afraid that many people just very hastily attack the Church without quite recognizing why they're attacking it. This kind of instinctual reactivity to the Church has been implanted in us from the Dernity itself. We wanted to speak, Richard, toward the end of this conversation about why there is not greater interest in the Church. And I'm not even speaking of conversion here, but just interest in theChurch on the part of the right.
