Hadrian and the Island

The island is the location of a large houseit's a private villa with more than 30 rooms, including bedrooms, a library, a study and a small bath complexe this luxurious building cpies the entirety of an artificial island, which is surrounded by a shallow moat. To access the villa, hadrian crosses the moat on a retractable wooden drawbridge, although the bridge is usually left in place. Hadrian likes the idea that he can raise the bridge once he's on the island. In this way, he has the place entirely to himself.
