What Is Non-Convulsive Status?

The most common presentation is some change in mental status. Other findings that should increase your suspicion are abnormalities with the eyes, like gaze deviation and nystagmus. Lip smacking and motor twitching of the face or the distal extremities can also clues. The key for us in the ED is just considering this condition and then treating the patient.
