Parlay, the brand behind parlay g biscuits was accused of copying Oreo. A Delhi High Court judge ruled in their favour after a 50-page order. Parlay says its exclamation mark is just to incorporate a fun element and make it unique with his other mark. The name Fabo sounds quite similar to how we'd say Oreo, right? Even the judge scoffed at parlay's argument that the exclamation point was just added for fun. He said it was a clear sign of trying to copy Oreo, especially since none of its other biscuits had an O after the exclamation mark.
In today’s episode for 16th February 2023, we explain why Intercontinental Great Brands which owns the Oreo biscuit brand took Parle to court.
