The expected loss that you think you're going to get in this arbitrary situation is very large. Cause there's lots of tat companies for which you'd assume that you might drop 30 % more than you had expected before if the deal doesn't go through. So it's not totally illogical that you could have such big spreads because it's the magnitude of the loss, and not so much the probability that the deal won't gone through.
