Automating Workplaces
The reason we're able to talk about a postwork future is this possibility of altermation. The kinds of automat technologies that were developing at the moment are, to use a somewhat technical term, theyare id of narrow forms of artificial intelligence. They can't usually perform all the different tasks in the workplace. So what happens when you automate or introduce auto technology into the work places that you replace humans in the performance of certain tasks? That doesn't necessarily mean that you eliminate jobs or eliminate workers,. Because oftentimes workers can move into complementary tasks.
