The Problem With Socialism Is Not an Incentive Problem
The Soviet Union solved the incentive problem. Paul Pot in Cambodia definitely did not have an issue with motivating his peons to get up in the morning and go work because they knew that if they didn't, consequences would be terrible. And yet all of those places collapsed economically. The only solution for it is to allow people to make economic calculation on what is the best use of them.
