The Importance of Restructuring the Banking System
The structure of our banking system doesn't work for the modern economy. The idea that supervision is going to be able to fix that is obviously untrue. We should introduce a central bank digital currency where there are some safe deposits, but they are the central bank. And this is worth another episode, but I think it's a inevitable consequences of what we're observing today.
