The Ripple Effects of a Pivot Away From Globalized Supply Chains
Cory Booker: We have a food waste problem in this country that is horrific. About a third of our food is wasted and goes into landfills, he says. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of California on the sale of pork meat from places where pigs are confined to gestation crates barely larger than the pig's body. That ruling made it hard for large corporations not to change their practices nationwide.
