Conmeter was started in two thousand five and originally we just funded web sites and aps, only saphor companies. In 20 13, the then president of with combinator, sam altman, was getting really interested in synthetic biology. And over those, like, ten years, we were fortunate enough to fund some really successful companies likear b and b and stripe and dropox and reddet. Those early successes enabled us to expand the programme and to think about other ways that we could have an even bigger impact in the world.
