California's Water District Is Rolling Out New Limits on Outdoor Water Use
Southern california officials declared an emergency water shortage on wednesday, and as a result, the board of the region's metropolitan water district is rolling out new restrictions. Starting june first, roughly six million soca residents in los angeles, ventura and san bernardino counties will only be allowed to water their lawn once a week. This all comes amid the severe multi year drought in the area, and the coming months are expected to be the driest on record in california. If overall water usage in socal doesn't go down enough, the water district is prepared to ban all outdoor water usage later this year.
