Is There Any Reason Why We Shouldn't Have Public School Teachers Doing That?
In parts of the south where i grew up, we had k j v, king james version. It was read and taught in a very, very basic rote level. This was not life anging gospel teaching. The history of anti catholic discrimination in that text is really quite sobering. I'm glad we don't have public school teachers doing that any more. And so there was no pastoral authority, no elder oversight over what was being taught by the government to Americans.
