The Decompression of the Plane in Saint Pathos
The plane was at a speed of 430 knots when it made contact with the ground. It affected an area of about 700 by 100 meters, so that's s a meteris a little over three feet. The aircraft disintegrated on impact with the forest, and there were no survivors. Among the wreckage, investigators found the bodies of six passengers who were ejected from the plane during the decompression,. along with parts of their seats. These parts landed in a newly ploughed field and were imbedded into the fairly soft earth.
