The Life and Times of a Cypriot Painter
Two brothers from Pithakusai exchanged messages on ships going back and forth between the western and central Mediterranean. Two of their sons grew close as well, and the children they had were close cousins too. The youngest son didn't get along with his siblings at all, nor with his parents. He was impulsive and prone to violence, and neither of those tendencies served him well in the shipping, ceramics, or agricultural lines of work.
