The Springs of Affection, a Book Review
I loved her writing style. I loved her attention to detail, that sometimes kind of borders on the obsessive. She was actually quite well-known in the US because of her New Yorker pieces but not so much in Ireland. It seemed to me that there is a kind of a gothic sort of dimension to the stories. Her exploration of the domestic really reveals the sort of horror that's close to the surface.
