The declaration of sentiments is essentially the central manifesto of the early women's rights movement. It was a text that was created by a group of women, one of whom was elizabeth katy stanton,. She helped or ized the seneca falls convention and wrote the declaration of sentiments which was an extremely influential document at the time. A judith wellman, she's a historian who called it the single most important factor in spreading news of the women’s rights movement around the country.
