CNN's John Sutter talks about the benefits of open source AI. He says there is a parallel between closed and open source in terms of decentralization, as opposed to centralized video. OpenAI has been criticized for its diversity filter that randomly allocates non-gendered words like Indian Sumo wrestler or Ukrainian. The technology can be used to help combat bad actors who will use it for evil, he says.
