Wu San Kuei founded his own dynasty, yet another Joe dynasty. Except this one was the great Joe, the dad Joe. He died seven months into his reign on October 2nd, 1678. His grandson took over as emperor, but 1681 he too fell to the Qing army. The best years of the Qing were in Yun Nan during the young Cheng and Qianlong eras. Han Chinese migration to Yun Nan greatly increased in the Ming era. There were also a lot of Thai people in Yun Nan next door in Guangxi.
