The influence of Metallica growing out of the underground and to be like a bigger thing really added those down picking thrash elements to the punk scene. When doggy dog comes into the picture, I think it's really cool because hardcore still didn't have this. The bands from New York had a different edge. You know, just that California had a different thing everyone.
