The Importance of the One
The good or the one. This, I guess needs to be emphasized as, you know, the thing of absolute importance right. And again, the idea changes over time and becomes much more almost ryified. It becomes much more of a concept of a divine being - which is why it's hard to talk about. But I think certainly carries out from Socrates through Fuccino into, especially modern religious Neoplatonism. So if we leave out the one, we sort of leave out, not the first link in the chain of being, but the thing from which all the chains ultimately are suspended from.
