The Friendship of the Lord

Abraham's the only guy in the Bible that's called a friend of God. The Lord knows what he's going to do and he knows, God's not changing his mind because Abraham, you know, is nagging at him. And it's not as though God would otherwise have done what's unrighteous. No, it's that the Lord is patiently, lovingly welcoming intimacy with Abraham.
