The Chain of Command

The Biden administration was getting a lot of criticism, obviously, for having allowed this balloon to stay in U.S. airspace and conduct surveillance for over a week. On February 4, on that day, the Biden administration arranged a briefing with the media with a quote, senior defense official. And one of the things that I asked about in the briefing today was who that senior defense official was. And you'll recall as it played out, we then had a series of senior officials from the Trump administration publicly say they don't know what these guys are talking about. That didn't happen. We don't know anything about it.
