The US is at the center of a range of different alliances. Unlike in Europe, where there's one single alliance, it's called the North Atlantic Treaty Organization NATO In Southeast Asia, that's not as possible because in Europe, NATO evolved from the Cold War situation. I really see this NATO news as a great example of what's going on in Europe and it's a much wider story.
