The Christmas Story of Agatha Christie

The story of Jesus is like the ultimate story of the miscarriage of justice, where all systems fail. So I think that's kind of where her teasing out of the story lies primarily. This is Agatha Christie's down with the patriarchy moment. It reminded me actually of the ending of stay with me, the Lord of the Rings. We get this final little coda on the happy family and the people surrounding the baby. And it's a note of domesticity that rings true as to who Christie was.
