A Novel About a Pregnant Woman
Helen and rachel meet at a birthing class. Helen gives us the impression that she's a little bit up tight, but is playing her pregnancy extra safe as she's had a couple of miscarriages. So one night, rachel showsup at helen's house with finger shaped bruises on her neck and asks if she can stay with helen for a few days. Over time, it comes out that nothing rachel told helen was true. She wasn't actually pregnant, she didn't live in the neighborhood, and she actually knows helen's younger brother from work.
