Simon Bulma: Are we more or less sovereign by being in the European Union? I think this is a judgment call. There is no real science on this, but Damien had better explain that about legal sovereignty,. Nick Clegg: We've just got to be open with people. It is a trade-off because it enables us to do things we couldn't do on our own. Simon Bulma: No point having a single market if everyone can make up the rules themselves. The whole thing would fall apart otherwise.
This week marked the three year anniversary of Brexit, the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.
