The Importance of Understanding Our Parents

A lot of times what I do see is kind of this inability to really fully respect that country because we're free here. We're not embedded in that system of social hierarchy. And so when we go over there, we're just like, yeah, like, oh, I hate when they tell me that I have to like do this or do that. There's a deeper understanding of why people are that way, why the trauma has made people in that way. Or how deep we have to understand our parents.
