Is There a Difference Between Hana and Dogen?
Pitch accent is this aspect of Japanese where one syllable in every word is pronounced more prominently than the other syllables. In English, we have something called stress accent and it's just high versus low. So if I say like, hashi, right, but with the ha, ha, higher than the she, then that would mean chopsticks. And sometimes it can even change the meaning. Like if I say addict versus addict, right? You know, change produce.
