Introduction

Tutankhamun may have died of an infection to a leg wound possibly caused by falling from a chariot. His father, Arcanaten, was the man who attempted to completely alter the religion of Egypt and in his vain attempts he is guilty of losing territories under Egyptian control. After Hormheb the 18th dynasty ended with Egypt stabilised. Ramesses I took over soon afterwards as the Pharaoh Seti I. This would mark the start of a long phase of intense international affairs between the Egyptians and the Hittites.
