The Green Grocers in England

In the UK, green grocers are a small shop that just sells fruit and vegetables. In American English, downtown can be an adjective or an adverb - for example, I'm going downtown. The word town is not in there at all; it's downtown Abbey instead. A news agent mainly sells newspapers but may also sell other things such as fizzy drinks. British people call swimming costumes 'swimsuits', while Americans call them ball-in-the-water.
