The Importance of Pastoral Vision in the Modern Church

Christianity has been cursed on Christians because we've lived this Gnostic invisible kind of Christian life where Jesus is Lord over my invisible heart. The best shot you've got at being Christian is relegated inside of your home and inside of your church so therefore we've taught our congregants to put pastors to work such that these pastors actually have titles called pastor of vision like oh yeah I'm the visionary pastor. When I think about Silicon Valley I think it's an indictment on the lack of biblical imagination that the church doesn't have but also a radical indictment in that we've been trained to give money out to missionaries.
