Clowns Turned Scary

In the 19 thirties, in the wake of the great depression, you have this whole wave of sort of hobo clowns wearing a boiler hat and tattered clothes. Then in the 19 fifties and sixties, clowns started to get kind of cleand no more drunk sad buffoons. There's two man reasons why the so called good clown emerged in america, and they are rona mac donald and bozo the clown. And then came that quintecential moment when clowns turned scary.
