The Book of Mormon Is Not an Historical Account of Past Events

Some Mormons are conducting expeditions in Iowa to try to find the ancient city of Zara Mela. The National Geographic Society does not know of anything found so far that it substantiated the Book of Mormon. Some Mormon scholars even lean towards the view the book is more of an allegory, and it's not historical.
