The Importance of Quantum Mechanics

I started out as a chemist. I'm a lab worker by training academic, but I could program because that's sort of like a standard skill. The whole interview process consisted of me explaining parts of quantum mechanics to the head of equities and being interested in it. And that's how I ended up being an industrial analyst on the buy side at Brown Brothers Heronman during the dot com crisis.
