The Indictment of Donald Trump
The indictment relies upon a legal argument that the former president lied and then acted on those lies to interfere with the result of the 2020 presidential election. Donald Trump has pretty much told us that he interfered and sought to change his result. This does not justify any moral wrong, but there's a huge difference between moral wrong and criminal wrong doing. There will be absolutely no way for the political and the legal to be clearly separated throughout this process.
