Did You Grow Up Playing a Musical Instrument?

Researchers say in the future they want to culture the cancer's pigment-producing cells so they can study those more directly. People with more experience playing a musical instrument had a greater lifetime improvement during tests of cognitive ability than people who had less or no experience with a musical instrument. Professor Emeritus Ian Derry, who used to be the director of the Center for Cognitive Aging and Cognitive Epidemiology at the University of Edinburgh, said the connection of instrument playing and lifetime cognitive improvement was actually pretty small.
