This chapter explores the concept of the 'dark side' of leadership, discussing the evolutionary factors that contribute to leaders leaning into control. It highlights the organizational bias towards dominant and controlling leaders, despite the need for different qualities in great leadership. The chapter emphasizes the need to challenge these biases and embrace different types of leadership for complex issues.
