The Risks of Standardization of Self on Social Media
Do you think that one potential risk with young people in particular being on social media is this idea of what I guess I would call standardization of self? Like, I think a lot about intrinsic versus extrinsic motivation. It seems like it could push people to acquiesce or shape themselves to the most common trends that they get rewarded for and kind of deviate from self. There's many, many safer ways to communicate even online that don't involve social media.
