A Magazine Specific Question - What Do You Say to Someone When You've Used Their Time?
I'm either hanging out with them, following them around on errands, interviewing them more formally. And nothing comes of it because you don't sell your pitch or because your tory gets spiked. If a story falls by the wayside, which that's where my wood knocking was going to come in. I really never write a story on speck. A, and all you can do is be hope that you are, were as gracious as you could be during the interview.
