Is Dependency Dependent?
Kant doesn't say we cause because that's a being thing, he says. He wants to seek within knowledge itself for that by which all individual knowing is determined. All these things in our field of experience are dependent upon the mind,. If you say they are caused by the mind, you're right. But if you say just dependence, i don't know what kind of dependence. Maybe it's a kind of dependence we can't even understand and could be something that pseudo-causal or quasi causal. We need an indivisible act of primordial cognition. That is going to rate both content and form.
