The special issue builds on the target article in post-traumatic growth that Laura and I published in EJP in 2014. Miranda: The evidence is much more modest, at least when it comes to the average changes across individuals as a response to certain events positive or negative. She says there must be something more nuanced going on either in terms of what specific constructs are reacting or whether there are probably quite large individual differences.
