The Separation of Day and Night

The sun and moon are supposed to govern over the day and the night. This is important because, you know, later when we get into man being given domain over creation, these are very different words. And notably, this is the word that is used when God is talking to Eve and Genesis three. We have separate day from night, be these markers, these signs for seasons, days, years, and then give light.
