The Gail Model for Breast Cancer

The Gail model calculates a woman's risk of developing breast cancer within the next five years and within her lifetime. It can be useful in counseling patients at what the risk of breast cancer is when they're trying to decide what surgical procedure, whether or not they want undergo surgery.
