Amelia Earhart - What Was the Appeal of Amelia Air Hall?

When you were in high school, you either wrote or just started a book on Amelia Air Hall. And what was the appeal of her to you? Oh my God, okay, well, Amelia Earhart,. I stumbled on, there was like an article, in 1961, about, there's always some article about Amelia Earhart and so on. So I did that for like three years on this research project, and that's how I became a feminist before feminism had revived. When women won the right to vote, we had all these career women, like Amelia Earhart  and Dorothy Parker. But when second wave feminism revived with Betty Frieden's co-founding of Now in
