The Importance of Jokes in Theatre
Shakespeare in particular can often be directed at a very particular audience. Did you find that you managed to draw them together? People responded very positively to it. There were some people who were sitting there mouthing along, not only with Henry IV, but also with my text. I was thinking actually when I was sort of thinking over the prints in prep for talking to you and thinking about audiences that actually with this you were almost going between two audiences.
